Closure of Boerhaavelaan intersection starting March 2nd
* The intersection of Boerhaavelaan – Venkelstraat is closed.
* From the N205 (Schipholweg), you can reach Centrum Schalkwijk by traveling via Europaweg.
* Cars, cyclists, and pedestrians are being detoured via Amerikaweg – Boerhaavelaan.



Closure of Europaweg (west side) starting March 23rd
Starting Monday, March 23rd, the work area will be expanded. To ensure safety during operations, the west side of Europaweg will be closed from Schipholpoort to just past the Belgiëlaan intersection. Consequently, part of the Venkelstraat intersection will also be closed.
What does this mean for you?
* It will no longer be possible to travel from the N205 (Schipholweg) toward Centrum Schalkwijk via Europaweg.
* Buses will continue to operate using the center lane.
* Detour routes for cars, cyclists, and pedestrians will be in place.
* Work at this location is expected to last until late May 2026.

From Amsterdam
Take the exit at the 'Rottepolderplein' junction and follow the signs for 'Haarlem Zuid/Zandvoort/N205'.
Follow the second lane from the left to turn left onto 'Amerikaweg' and follow the signs for 'Haarlem-Centrum/Heemstede/Zandvoort/N205'.
At the intersection, continue straight ahead and follow the 'Schipholweg/N205'. At the next intersection, turn left onto the 'Europaweg'. At the very next intersection, turn left again onto the 'Toekanweg'. You have reached your destination.

From The Hague
Take the 'Leidsevaartweg' to the 'Westelijk Randweg/N208'. Then, turn left onto 'N205'. Next, turn right onto 'Spanjaardslaan/N205'. Then take the next left turn. Follow this road until you reach a large intersection. Turn right and continue on this road, 'Schipholweg'.
Turn right onto 'Europaweg'. At the next intersection, turn left onto 'Toekanweg'. You have reached your destination.

Public transport
Haarlem
For bus line 300, a temporary stop will be set up on Europaweg near the Europaweg/Spaarne Gasthuis intersection. Bus line 73 will continue to stop at the existing Europaweg/Spaarne Gasthuis stop. The bus line 3 stop at Boerhaavelaan will be discontinued. In its place, two temporary stops will be established on Kennedylaan to serve the Spaarne Gasthuis hospital.

Amsterdam/Schiphol
From Track 1-2, take the NS Sprinter (towards Amsterdam Centraal), which takes approximately 5 minutes. Get off at Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station, Track 12. Transfer to the NS Intercity to The Hague, Track 7, which takes approximately 10 minutes. Get off at Haarlem Station, Track 6. Walk to the buses at Platform K, bus line 300 (towards Bijlmer ArenA Centraal), the walk takes approximately 5 minutes. From Haarlem station, take bus line 300 (towards Bijlmer ArenA via Airport) at Platform K. After 1 stop, approximately 10 minutes, get off at the 'Europaweg' bus stop.
